Gus the Southern Purple Spotted Gudgeon Book

Southern Purple Spotted Gudgeons were thought to be extinct however a small number were rediscovered several years ago and some were captured for breeding stock, which has led to several groups becoming involved in breeding programs.

Written by local Adelaide educator Gerry McCarthy, who has over forty-six years of experience in educational settings. He has a strong passion for all things fish. His current focus has been to help solve critically endangered native fish.
 
Illustrated by Elise Fitzgerald, a talented year 10 student at Mercedes College, Adelaide, who has a love for art. This is the first book Elise has illustrated and she hopes to pursue illustrating and other creative avenues in the future.
